Cockatiel: Is this cage big enough for Two?
We already have one Cockatiel, and since we’re moving soon and are both getting jobs we decided that getting a second ‘tiel as a companion for ours would be a good idea. The one we’re getting will be from the same breeder. Below is a link for the cage I’ve been looking at, it looks nice enough. Do you think it will house two cockatiels?

I have a bird but want to adopt a kitten. good idea?
I have a blue crowned conure which is a medium sized parrot that lives in a large cage that has enough space to fit 2 fingers in between the bars. I’m thinking of adopting a young kitten but I don’t want my bird getting hurt. I’m also not home all the time. Good idea?

Cleaning out my bird cage ;)
Really interesting stuff rolf !
Other than getting rid of the bird?
What’s the best and easiest way to keep things clean? I was thinking instead of daily newspaper changes using carefresh or similar litter and just dumping it every few days. I use a grate so they can’t eat it. I’ve about had it with the mess but I don’t want to get rid of my birds. I have two tiels in one large cage. Anyone use any type of seed guards that really do help? They will chew cloth or plastic.

Question of large bird owners?
So, I am in my first year of medical school and it has been my dream to own either an African Grey or an Amazon parrot. Obviously we have a pretty hectic schedule and strange hours at times but I have faith that I will be able to take care of a large bird.
Do you think that the bird will be able to cope with a schedule that is not regular, for example during on rotation I will be on call 24/7 but may have days where I have nothing happen and remain at home for the day or others where I will spend 24 hours at the hospital.
I have a cockatiel that is amazing, I got him when he was maturing and was a little difficult at times, but now he behaves amazing. He usually gets about 5-10 hours out of his cage each day while I study but im sure that will decrease a bit when I have rotations.
I’ve been all but told to F*** off by rescue owners because they assume that I will be living at the hospital and never see the poor bird however I seem to have lots of time at home and know that I could do better than many other owners.
So large bird owners…what do you think, am I hopeless until 10 years from now when I have a house and a better schedule or can the bird handle 3-4 hours that may happen on rotations (say monday its in the morning and friday in the evening)?
ps. sorry this is a tough question to read…but its kind of complex
I have done lots of research and realize that particularly with amazons they are subject to mood changes throughout maturity and expect this

What is the name of this bird, it looks a bit like a really small flamingo?
I went to the zoo and in a large cage there were ducks, doves, and these pink, duck sized pink birds with very thin long beaks. Sorry, I don’t have a picture, but maybe you know what they are? Thanks!
“La Cage Aux Folles” by Le Jeté – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
The San Francisco disco resurgence in the early 80’s was an exciting part of dance music’s history. Producers Ken Kessie, Marty Blechman and Morey Goldstein helped to feed the disco flames with their dedication to dance floors. Their 1983 dance track cover of “La Cage Aux Folles” was a studio session singer given the name Le Jeté – also known for the first session of Modern Rocketry (“(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone”, “I’m Gonna Make You Want Me”). The cover of the Broadway plays number is given a disco overhaul with drums and chants to add energy and excitement. I have taken the 1996 Mike Nichols film, “The Bird Cage” starring Robin Williams, Nathan Lane and Gene Hackman and given it a breath of disco power. Featuring scenes from “The Bird Cage” – RENT THE DVD! Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Produced by Ken Emmons This Disco Video Mix is dedicated to my good friend, Gary R. in San Diego – a smile is great energy for the soul!
Need tips for stopping chipmunks from feeding at bird feeder.?
We put some wire caging around the tube-style bird feeder that allows the smaller birds to feed yet stops the larger birds from feeding, but the chipmunks get in and eat lots of bird seed. Any suggestions on how to stop chipmunks from using the tube bird feeder?

Parakeet cage?
The base of my old cage broke when my wife was cleaning it. So I went to Pet Smart and bought a new one. They had a sale on large bird cages and they were only higher than the cage I was going to buy. So I bought the large cage. I have three keets and they seem happy to have all the room to jump around in. They can’t fit through the wire. But it is a big cage for parrots and such. Can a cage be to big for small birds?
little more info please

Any suggestions for attractive rabbit housing?
Bunny condos are, in my opinion, really ugly. Is there a way to disguise a rabbit home so it blends in with normal furniture? Would it be possible to renovate a large, ornate bird cage to house a rabbit?
