Hi, I’m buying a used flight cage for my lovebirds because I want them to exercise and it’s not safe to let them fly around the house because of my cat.I can’t afford a new cage(usually ranging from 400~up)at the moment.So I was thinking on repainting it with a stainless steel paint that I bought online http://liquidstainlesssteel.com/products.html
I read that stainless steel cages are the best for birds so would it be safe for the birds if I repaint the cage?I want the cage to look like new because it’s going to go on the living room.Any other ideas of safe paint for birds?

im planning to make a cage 20×13x20, out of these parts:balsa wood for the frame and stainless steel wire for the mesh. im gonna make the other parts out of balsa wood il try to make a removable tray ,if i cant il just put newspaper at the bottom and pick up the cage when i need to clean it. so do you think this is a good idea. what are the risks/positives and how to solve some of the risks
