Great tips for smaller birds! I use paper grocery bags underneath newspaper in my large parrot cages and it soaks up their poo so you can just scoop up the whole mess with all the food droppings in three or four bundles.
i just close all the windows and doors then let the budgie loose,
then once the cage is clean, it returns to the cage by itself to eat etc,
they usualy return to the cage by them selves,
If you have a cage where the top and bottom separate, wait til your budgie is on a perch, lift off the cage part and set it aside, then you can take your time with the base. For perch cleaning, unless you have an attack bird, all the birds I’ve had in the past (mix of budgies, ‘tiels, flock of finches and now a macaw) will move aside as you clean. Just give them space to scoot the other way if need be or they might panic and try to bite.
sorry to dissapoint you,but you can t hhave a clean cage,if using your pet s water supply to clean the cage. You need hot water and a good antebavterial that doesn t affect your pet.
Why not? It’s not like she wrung out the dirty paper towel back into the water. As long as you clean the water dish beforehand, I don’t see the problem.
i was expecting three miniute but your method was way to long an extra 18 secs i cant do that it is too hard
lol
that is quite good what was that sheet you used

trying to save money for a cockatiel great tips thanx
great idea with the press & seal. have to try it.
I like the press and seal idea. Lol. You could just laminate the whole cage with it!
I wish I could use that to line my cage’s floors but they’re too big. I just stick with used computer paper.
I like those food dishes that have a hood so all the food is contained. They mount on the door.
what if the cage dose not have a grate on the bottom
omg! what alazy ass person!
The Press and Seal is a great idea! I’m gonna have to try that… I have the same electrolux vacuum and I love it! Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the info! I’ve found that plain water cleans droppings better than any cleansers, then disinfect twice a month
How do you clean the cage if your budgie isn’t tame!??!?!
then advise you get one cause cleaning is very hard other wise.
What are you talking about, you ignorant fool? This is not lazy. Some people don’t even clean their poor pet bird’s cage.
That press’n’seal idea is brilliant. *goes out and buy*
