i would get another cage for a bird and have them get use to each other by putting the cages close and let them out together but watch them like a hawk just don’t eat them lol and see how it goes but get a cockatiel but iv seen them get along with lovbirds and budgies

Well, I wouldn’t get another bird yet ,if I were you , but I’d give the Cockatiel alot of love , as his little heart must be so scared- If your not around them all day , maybe the cat should go outside and play till you get home-Cats saliva can kill a bird instantly- And Cats don’t know they aren’t suppose to not try to get the birds- Look at it this way , if you were home all alone all day w/ a hugh ape, you’d surely be frightened till your keeper returned- Please don’t think I’m try’n to be rude , but various animals need certain tlc-Good luck-

First of all, parakeets and cockatiels are not suppose to live together within the same cage. They will eventually hurt each other until one serverly hurts the other or kills the other if left within the same cage. My suggestion would be to get another cockatiel so Stanley won’t be lonely.
