What's the best place in a house to put a bird cage?
I was thinking next to the kitchen, like in the breakfast area OR near the family room where we spend most of our time. My friend said in the home office but I’m not there much. Where do you keep your bird cage and WHY? Thanks!
We keep our bird cage in the living room as it is the least drafty area of our home. When the weather gets extreme cold outside, I put our bird cage in the kitchen which is warmer. Small kitchen so won’t work permanently. Your bird needs to be in an area that is draft free. If you live in cold areas of the country, do not keep it close to the windows. Sometimes when I am in the bedroom, I bring the bird cage in with me as our bird enjoys our company. Hope some of this helps.
I put my little birdie next to the window so she can have sun and see out but our window does not get cold so it is perfect for her and she enjoys it.
We keep them in the living room. There’s a bird feeder outside the big window, so the parakeets and cockatiel can see and talk to the outside birds.
We leave the cages open anyway. They’re all pretty well trained, so its no big deal. They mostly stay in the cages unless we’re around, then they come out to participate in whatever we’re doing. Somehow the cockatiel got attached to me and spends most of his time on my shoulder when I’m home. Like now.
